The Heart of the Land
As an Equestrian Photographer, Horse and Land Magazine was founded on a simple, enduring belief: that the soil we tread and the horses we raise are the true soul of our community. In an era of rapid expansion, we stand as a dedicated voice for the preservation of our rural heritage. We celebrate the deep-rooted history of our farms and advocate for the protection of the open spaces that define us. Here, we don’t just share stories; we document a way of life that deserves to be protected for generations to come.
Horse and Land Magazine is a tribute to the timeless connection between the equestrian world and the earth beneath our hooves. We are more than a publication; we are a movement dedicated to keeping history alive. By advocating against the encroachment of commercial growth, we ensure that the heritage of our land remains a living, breathing reality rather than a memory.

Behind the Lens: Liz Flores – Liz Uniques Photography
I see the world through the connection between the horse and the horizon. As a photographer and storyteller, my work has always been about more than just a beautiful image; it’s about capturing a legacy. I started Horse and Land Magazine because I saw our heritage being paved over. My mission is to use my art to document the spirit of our lands and to give a voice to the pastures that can’t speak for themselves.
Not only do I just photograph our little (Big) friends, I do have a background in Horsemanship and have obtained a certification for Basic Equine Care and Psychology.
